Concurrently, as Vice President and Senior Exchange Officer at City Capital 1031, Andrew is nationwide qualified intermediary for 1031 exchanges, helping clients defer tens of millions in taxes. With over a decade of leadership in the hotel industry, he has well-formed business skills and deep understanding of commercial real estate, particularly in hospitality, enabling him to guide clients toward their investment and tax objectives. Andrew holds an undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and completed graduate studies at the University of Southern California.

Claudiu E. Catuna is a seasoned professional in wealth protection. As Founder and President of City Capital 1031, he has structured thousands of 1031 exchanges, helping clients defer taxes and safeguard their assets. Concurrently, as Vice President and General Counsel of City Capital IRA, Claudiu leverages his legal expertise to guide clients in optimizing their retirement investments. Through his private law practice, Catuna Law, PLLC, he focuses on business, estate planning, contract, and tax law, creating tailored strategies to build and protect wealth. Before founding City Capital 1031, Claudiu facilitated tax-deferred exchanges for the nation’s largest qualified intermediaries, using his knowledge to meet clients’ complex tax and financial needs. He holds a law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
